Delta Wing Starfighter Corellian Scoundrel :
"This starfighter is a prototype model, as are all other Delta Wing fighters in existence. A late shipment to the Cularin system, this fighter has been assigned to the hero above for use free of charge. The hero above is free to alter its paint scheme as desired and is essentially considered its "owner", though the fighter is technically the property of the Cularin government."

"Note that, if in the opinion of the GM, this Delta Wing is used against the interests of Cularin the privilege of using it will be permanently revoked. This is reflected by the destruction of the cert or the word void being printed permanently across the face."

"This cert is non-transferable and may not be sold, traded or given to any other player. Further, only the hero named on it may use this cert; the Delta Wing cannot be "loaned" to another hero."

SoroSuub Corporation G61 Delta Wing (Cularin Starfighter): Class: Starfighter; Size: Diminutive (9.5 m long); Initiative: +7 or +8 (+4 size, +3 Jewel or +4 Ril); Crew: 1; Passengers: 0; Hyperdrive: x1.5; Maximum Speed: Ramming (9 squares); Maneuver: +29 or +26 (+2 size, +2 maneuver system, +25 Jewel or +22 Ril); Defense: 22 (+2 size, +10 armor); Hull Points: 100 (DR 10); Shield Points: 25 (DR 10).

Weapon: 2 Laser Cannons (fire linked); Fire Arc: Front; Attack Bonus: +8 (+4 size, +4 fire control); Damage: 5d10x2; Range: short; Modifiers: +0/+0/na/na.

Weapon: Arakyd ST2 Concussion Missiles (maximum load 6); Fire Arc: Front; Attack Bonus: +10; Damage: 8d10x2. Note: the Delta Wing is fueled and armed with 2 missiles. Further missiles will not be available unless specified in the scenario.

Description: Long and sleek and shiny black, the Delta Wing looks like a serpent waiting to strike. The long oval fuselage appears alive. The cockpit, situated near the rear of the fighter, resembles the single unblinking eye of a hungry predator. Slim, elegant wings sweep back from the front in a classic Delta formation. The nose bristles with deadly cannons, gracefully molded and hidden. At the tip of each wing, torpedo launchers are emplaced to give the small interceptor a lethal punch. Magazines for the launchers are carefully concealed within the wings, making the fighter as streamlined as possible. Clearly this craft is as much at home in an atmosphere as in deep space. The overall impression is of a work of art, but deep down you can clearly sense the menace and deadly power of the small snub fighter.

Delta Wing Starfighter (Alternate):

Craft: Sorosuub Corporation G-61 Delta Wing (Cularin Starfighter); Class: Starfighter; Cost: 230,000; Size: Diminutive (9.7m long); Initiative: +7 or +8 (+4 size, +3 Jewel or +4 Ril); Crew: 1; Passengers: None; Cargo Capacity: 65 kg; Consumables: 2 days; Hyperdrive: x1.5; Maximum Speed in Space: Ramming (10 squares/action); Atmospheric Speed: 1,200 km/h (20 squares/action); Maneuver: +33 or +30 (+4 size, +4 engines, +25 Jewel or +22 Ril); Defense: 24 (+4 size, +10 armor); Shield points: 30 (DR 10); Hull points: 120 (DR 10).

Weapon: Triple blasters (4 fire-linked); Fire Arc: Front; Attack Bonus: +10 (+4 size, +2 fire control, +4 engines) or +6/+6 Multifire; Damage: 4d10x2; Range Modifiers: See Table 11-8, pg 214.

Weapon: Concussion missile launcher (6 missiles); Fire Arc: Front; Damage: 8d10x2; Missile Quality: Ordinary (+10).

Note: The superior quality of the ion engines provides a +4 equipment bonus to Attack rolls and Pilot skill checks. These bonuses are included above.

The Delta wing was designed on a remote outpost of the Sorosuub economic empire, Edic Bar. The designer, Ryll Narbe, once a prominent starship designer set out to prove he was still a credible employee, created the Delta Wing to prove himself once again to his superiors. Technically the D-Wing was an unmitigated success, in testing it out-performed both Incom’s Headhunter starfighter, and Sorosuub’s own flagship starfighter project the G-59 Cannibalizer. However the sheer cost of producing the Delta Wing meant that the corporation decided not to go into mass production with the starship. It would simply not be cost effective enough to warrant continuing development. However, a few prototypes were built and donated to the Cularin Militia as a gesture of good faith by Sorosuub. This has lead to the ship being nicknamed the Cularin Starfighter.
