Dearest friends,
Some of you, I have known for a long time. I have worked with you for the past five years, battling evils beyond comprehension. It is because of you that I have been able to continue for this long. Were it not for you, mes amis, I would have become corrupted by the darkness long ago. It was you and you alone who kept me from the brink.
For some of you, I will be a stranger. Even though we have never met, I already know of your exploits and your heroic deeds. You may not know whether or not to place your faith in me, but I know that I can place my faith in you.
My friends, I have given unto you the pieces necessary to put away the Unspeakable Enemy, one of our fiercest opponents on this earth. As you know, it is because of him that the Great Enemy now walks this earth.
One of your number will have the Ibbich, which contains the information necessary to forge the Amulet of the Moon. It is the last piece needed to, as the Americans would say, put the nail in the coffin. Recreating this artifact will defeat I_ once and for all.
Three others of you will have the pieces of the Amulet of the Moon. As you may or may not know, it was shattered by ignorance and hubris. Some of you may have fake pieces of the Amulet. This will be to throw off the trail for our pursuant enemies. Treat your piece as if it were the real thing. I have not told anyone who has a real fragment and who does not.
Now, you must make haste. We will meet in Alexandria and we will speak again there.
