| You rise above your body, watching your peaceful slumber. You don't know why, but you appear to be sleeping during the day. The sun is still shining brightly. But...then, the sunlight fades. Looking up, you see a large shadowy hand grasp the sun and extinguish the light. Whispered voices below you bring your attention back to your body. Darkened forms begin moving among the sleeping forms of you and your companions.... suddenly you are back within your own body, looking up at the shadowy figures, but you are unable to move. Something reaches out and grasps your head, holding it firmly in place. The creature's maw folds open revealing row upon row of razor harp teeth that slowly move down do meet your scalp. You feel and hear a sharp crunch on the top of your head, and warm coppery smelling fluid begins flowing down into your eyes, turning the scene crimson. Now...you can move again, but the thing still holds you in place, your fingers grasp at it in pain, your jaw hurts from the screaming...then something else...something gentle bushes your mind..."wake up...wake up...you are needed..." |
| Dream for Mourners: You have peaceful dreams about a pristine, dew-covered meadow. You sleep fitfully on the soft, grass-covered ground in a circle of fruit trees. A small trail leads through the trees, away from the meadow, beaconing you to follow it. Rising up, you begin to move toward it, but the sun begins shining brightly...too brightly...and you wake up. |
