Entering your room, you immediately notice one of the continual flame torches seems to flicker in a repeating pattern. Recognizing the signal, you pull the dust and the crystal from your pack. First, you sprinkle the dust lightly on the torch, then gaze at it through your crystal to reveal the following message:
"Greetings. Welcome to Enpebyn. While you are in the city, see if you can locate the ss'ressen temple to the heretical Fire Dragon. If you do so, please report to Cassicus val'Emman at the Temple of the Flaming Crucible for further instructions."
As soon as you read the message, the flickering stops and the torch becomes a simple light source once again.
