The following letter was delivered to you the day before you started your journey to Enpebyn.
“Greetings. I understand you will soon be embarking on a journey to the traitorous city of Enpebyn. His holiness the Emperor wishes all His loyal subjects to know that they will not be warmly welcomed within that bastion of heresy and sedition. However, if you must go, you may serve Him while you are there. Do not bring unnecessary attention to yourself, but if you are able, gather information regarding the troop dispositions and defensive preparations of the traitors. In particular, our commanders are concerned with the capabilities and numbers of the heretical skull fetishes maintained by the city’s residents. Be wary, but if you are able to obtain, destroy, or otherwise learn of the powers or weaknesses of these fetishes, you would be doing a great service to the Empire. Report any pertinent information to Vera val’Sheem at the Temple of Unrevealed Mysteries (Larissa). She will ensure it is routed to the proper agent.”
