Player Handout 2

Fiend:

Know that you draw breath this morn only because I have chosen to be merciful. I seek Massek, the Devil-Lord, and I will kill him. He must pay for his crimes against the village of Tyot, among countless others.

I make this offer: When the time comes, do not get in my way. I will be generous, and allow you to leave my territory, though it cost me dearly to do so. Your tainted heart can probably not fathom the generosity of this act, but I would prefer not to put my vengeance against Massek at risk.

Those of your companions who do not share your curse will be numbered among my friends, if your group accedes to my just demand.

If you and your associates should refuse me passage, then I shall be forced to eliminate the opposition; know that you will be the first to fall, and then all those in your number who bear the mark of the Infernal. Perhaps once your band has been purified, the others will listen to the cry of justice, and I will let them live. If not—if they oppose me, even after I have cleansed your taint from this plane, then I shall be forced to take them down as well. And if, by some cruel injustice, you should stay my hand, you will all be numbered among the enemies of we who seek to slay the minions of Hell.
