In August, 1893, you were sent with a team of Travelers to find the missing boy, Geoffrey
Marston. A Qabalist spy of the Society's had infiltrated The Brotherhood of Moebius when his
son disappeared. He was concerned that he may have been discovered. However, there had
been a number of children reported missing during The World Columbian Expo.
The team was able to verify that the kidnapping was unrelated to the infiltration and returned
Geoffrey to his father, Charles.
If you played the event "The End":
In April, 1894, the spy Charles Marston requested a team of Travelers to receive his report on
The Brotherhood of Moebius. At that time, there was a rash of murders in the city of Chicago. One of the murders was Charles Marston.
You and your team befriended Marston's best friend, Mike Bartel, who was a member of The Brotherhood of Moebius. The Brotherhood used the social club called The Diogenes Club to recruit those who were magically aware and/or curious.
The murders were committed magically by a powerful arcane practitioner named McDaniel Whiteside. He was systematically arranging the deaths of everyone in The Brotherhood of Moebius that he could identify. The Travelers negotiated a truce between Whiteside and The Brotherhood.
When you met Whiteside, he was described as a Frenchman who had the attitude of a sophisticated English dandy.
If you played the event "The Message":
In April, 1895, the Brotherhood member Mike Bartel was revealed to have befriended White
Rose Traveler Jason Lindaman. Together, they attempted to fight against a creature they
referred to as "Fear." The creature drove both Bartel and Lindaman insane, but your team of
Travelers was able to defeat it.
With treatment, both Bartel and Lindaman regained their sanity.
If you played the event "The M":
In 1896, Whiteside was a guest of The Olympics. He offered to get you and your team an
audience with the Crown Prince of Greece if you promised to join his archeological expedition in
1897.
When you met Whiteside, he was described as a man with French features who also showed signs of German and Greek ancestry who had the attitude and accent of a British socialite.
If you played the event "Broken":
In 1897, Whiteside had permission from the government of Naples to sponsor an
archeological expedition to Pompeii.
Whiteside was described as an Italian man dressed in British clothing and sporting a strong upper-class English accent.
If you played the event "Restoration":
After the events of "Broken," Whiteside decided to climb Mt. Vesuvius. Whiteside snuck
away from the camp to make the climb alone. Your group went after him and discovered that,
away from polite society, he stood revealed as an undead creature. He magically transported
you off of the mountain and was not seen again.

The eccentric art collector McDaniel Whiteside sponsored an archeological expedition to
Pompeii last summer. He declined to comment to reporters upon his return and has not emerged
from his home since.
